TaskHunter ("the app") is a personal time-tracking utility developed and maintained by Radek Coural. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it's stored.
Short version
- TaskHunter does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party.
- All your data (customers, tasks, work sessions, settings) stays on your device and, optionally, inside your own private iCloud account.
- There are no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking.
What data the app stores
TaskHunter stores the information you enter yourself:
- Customer names, hourly rates, and optional currency codes.
- Task names, creation dates, and completion status.
- Work sessions (start and end timestamps) used to compute totals and statistics.
- App preferences such as appearance mode, default currency, haptics toggle, and cached currency exchange rates.
This data is saved locally in the app's sandboxed storage on each of your devices.
iCloud sync
TaskHunter uses Apple's CloudKit to synchronize your data between your own devices that are signed into the same iCloud account. This sync happens entirely between your devices and Apple's iCloud servers. The developer has no access to any content of your database — CloudKit stores it in your personal iCloud container, which only you can read.
If you do not want iCloud sync, sign out of iCloud on the device or disable TaskHunter under Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud. The app will then only store data locally.
You can wipe every customer, task, and work session — both on-device and in iCloud — via Data → Delete all data inside the app. This action cannot be undone.
Currency exchange rates
When you display aggregated earnings across customers that use different currencies, TaskHunter fetches daily exchange rates from the public frankfurter.app API (backed by European Central Bank reference rates). These requests contain no personal information — only the source currency code. Rates are cached locally for 24 hours. No request is made when the cache is fresh or when your data uses only one currency.
Account information
TaskHunter may display your iCloud account status and, if permitted by the system, the email address associated with your iCloud account. This is shown only inside the app on your own screen; it is not transmitted or logged anywhere.
Children
TaskHunter is a productivity tool that is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
